The Best Halloween Movies on Netflix for Kids and Families
As an elementary school teacher, I also know that many young children are exposed to scary and traumatizing images and movies around Halloween that their minds and hearts are not built to handle.
So over the years, I have collected a list of Halloween movies that are perfect for watching as a family.
All of the movies below are rated G, PG, or PG-13 and are perfect for young viewers or older kids while skipping the horror and truly terrifying stories.
For each movie, I’ve included the rating and age range that I feel would be appropriate.
That being said, every family has its own values and beliefs, so be sure to pre-screen the movies to make sure you feel they are appropriate for your home.
If you ask me, there’s no better way to kick off the Halloween season than to hop on the couch and watch some great Halloween movies.
