Perfect for kids and adults alike, this easy recipe is sure to bring a touch of festive fun to your next Halloween party.
Purple People Eater Punch – Kid Friendly
Ingredients:
- 1 package of Grape Kool-Aid Prepared to package instructions (2 quarts prepared).
- Sugar (to make the Kool-Aid)
- 2 liter bottle of Sprite, Starry or Lemon Lime Soda
- ice
- Edible Shimmer (optional)
- Gummy worms (optional)
Directions:
To make a big batch, use a large pitcher or punchbowl and combine prepared Kool Aid and Sprite in a 2:1 ratio.
One package of Kool-Aid will make 2 quarts when prepared, so if you wanted to use all of the Kool-Aid, you would mix 2 quarts of Kool-Aid with 1 liter of soda.
For an extra spooky touch you could also add dry ice at this point. Just be sure to use caution dry ice should not be handled or eaten.
Fill your glass with ice.
Pour in the prepared purple punch – let your guests add a 1/4 tsp edible shimmer and stir! It will look like a purple potion!
Garnish with gummy worms or gummy eyeballs for a spooky fun drink!
Another fun idea is to freeze a plastic spider inside of each ice cube and then float them in the drink. Just be sure that everyone knows so they don’t accidentally drink the spider!
You can also make individual drinks by pouring 1 cup of prepared Kool-Aid and 1/2 cup of Sprite into individual cups or glasses.
Now you’re ready to enjoy this perfect Halloween punch recipe!
So there you have it – a delicious, easy-to-make, and spooktacular purple punch to delight your guests this Halloween. It’s not just about the trick-or-treat adventures or the eclectic costumes, but also about the joy of sharing a fun, festive mocktail that embodies the spirit of Halloween.

What if I don’t have Lemon-Lime Soda?
In my opinion this recipe tastes bests made with lemon lime soda like Sprite, but I suppose you could also make it with club soda. It just won’t be as sweet. I wouldn’t recommend ginger ale as I don’t think it would taste very good.
What if I Don’t Have Grape Kool Aid?
No Kool Aid? No problem! I’m sure you could also make a fun purple punch using grape soda or maybe even grape juice. Just test out the ratios first to make sure it tastes good.
Can I Add Ice Cream to This Recipe?
You’re welcome to try anything that sounds good to you. I’ve seen variations of this recipe that suggest adding scoops of vanilla ice cream, lime sherbet, or rainbow sherbet. I like the punch as is, so you’ll have to try that for yourself.
